BP Podcast: Abortion and the Ancient Church

Today we present a talk given by BreakPoint Senior Writer Shane Morris, delivered at the CareNet national convention. His topic: Christianity and abortion. Shane demonstrates that the Church’s position on abortion has been crystal clear since the first century—and that the early Christians’ practice of rescuing and raising abandoned pagan babies was a powerful witness to the love of Christ and one of the keys for the Church’s rapid growth.

Shane Morris firmly establishes prolife as a Christian tenet from the very beginnings and consistently through today, linking it to the Old Testament, early Christian writings and practices, as well as the Incarnation, Jesus sanctifying forever our human nature by sharing in it. His conclusion — that saving women in crisis and saving the lives of unborn babies, like the early Christians did, can change hearts can convert souls, and can bring people to faith — is so incredibly uplifting. We act as Christians and the Holy Spirit renews the world! Thank you!
