The Point: Indoctrinating Kindergarteners

Yes, it can happen at your school too. For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.

They’re coming for our kids. That’s the only way to put it after last week’s news of a California charter school that held a “gender reveal” celebration in a class full of kindergarteners. A little boy—in kindergarten—reportedly switched clothes in front of his classmates to reveal his new identity, and the teacher read two children’s books about being transgender.

“My daughter came home crying and shaking so afraid she could turn into a boy,” said one mom at the school board meeting. Apparently, the school hadn’t bothered to notify the parents about this lesson in “gender identity.”

And as Rod Dreher points out, kids in homeschool or private school situations aren’t exempt from this stuff either. LGBT groups are pressuring accrediting bodies to include gender identity in curriculum standards. If lawmakers don’t hear from us loud and clear and they get their way, such requirements would soon apply to everyone.

Folks, we must stand between the culture and our kids, wherever they go to school. My new book “A Practical Guide to Culture” can help.

    Sick, evil & abominable.

Why should Americans put stock in anything the conservative church says, when blatant charlatans and wealthy celebrity preachers flourish unchecked by any meaningful criticism from the pulpits containing true men of God?

    • Scott

Our small conservative church has neither blatant charlatans nor wealthy celebrity preachers. We preach the gospel in the New Testament and many true men of God attend regularly. Breakpoint is a place where our voice is best articulated and so we listen?

      Please expand upon your criticism.

Even in New Testament times…there was a call to be…discerning. Sometimes some wolves in sheeps clothing. Most christian churches and ministry groups are NOT wealthy. Many …I would say most…keep a careful watch on how their money is used. Volunteers…and many times…trained professionals (working at Below Market wages) help make their service work go…much farther.

Remember…the media tend to focus on the large, the bizarre…the dubious…which is a tiny part of the …very large…numbers of Christians…who do good work on moderate to…even minuscule budgets.

If you’re going to have the audacity to decry the sins of others, you’d better start with your own clan. You know, “mote/beam”

“…when blatant charlatans and wealthy celebrity preachers flourish unchecked by any meaningful criticism from the pulpits containing true men of God?”

Our relatively obscure pastor just preached a sermon mentioning the danger of the “prosperity gospel.” Our church is critical of anything that strays from Jesus’ message in the New Testament… It is true a Christian must always look inward first. We are also called to discern between right and wrong (good and evil)… and speak out against the wrong (evil) no matter where it originates.

Time…to stand for children…the actions above are…sexual grooming.

My guess…is that soon…children will be pushed into even more sexual the groomers. Little innocent ones will be pushed, cajoled, encouraged to do…..things considered child abuse and porn…today.

And some will lull the gullible by saying it’s children’s’ rights.
