National Community Church is a multi-site church in the Washington, DC metro area that meets in both rented and permanent facilities. NCC is one church with five locations: Union Station, Ballston Common Mall, Ebenezers Coffeehouse, Georgetown and Kingstowne. Its vision is to meet in movie theaters at Metro stops throughout the DC metro area. NCC is orthodox in doctrine but unorthodox in practice. Its creative approach to ministry has resulted in a unique demographic with approximately 70% single twenty-somethings and 70% unchurched and dechurched.
NCC’s mission is making disciples, but believes that every church has its unique niche in the Kingdom of God. There are several core convictions that drive the way NCC does church: the church ought to be the most creative place on the planet; the church is called to compete in the middle of the marketplace; and there are ways of doing church that no one has thought of yet.
NCC owns and operates the largest coffeehouse on Capitol Hill. Ebenezers opened for business on March 15, 2006 and its vision is to be a place where the church and community cross paths. Ebenezers is also a location for NCC church services and events.
