Sometimes we could put a bit more affection into our economic relationships. I have sometimes envied the Japanese system where an employer thinks of himself as a Daimyo and thinks his employees are his Samurai. As opposed to the way labor is commodified in other places. On the other hand that undoubtably means you can't get hired very easily. On the other hand, you can't get hired very easily anyway.
