You wouldn't know it by looking at me today, but I used to be an athlete. I chose a college my freshman year that would let me play basketball.
But my faith was important to me too, an the college I chose had a motto of “Thy Word Is Truth.” But, I was in for a surprise -- one that I wasn't prepared for.
Within the first few weeks of my New Testament classes, I was told that the miracles in the Gospels were fabricated to improve the Jesus story. At a college who’s motto was "Thy Word Is Truth," I was taught that it wasn’t. Throughout that year I was faced with teachings that directly contradicted the Bible.
I thought the word was true. I believed the Word was true. But, I didn’t know why it was true. So, I had nothing to say. What would you have said? Go to ThePointRadio.org and let me know. You’ll also find some terrific resources there.
I’m thankful that I’ve found answers to challenges like that one. The challenges are out there. The good news is that the answers are too.
