They Can't Not Believe In It

Belief in marriage has to be unlearned...

Last week I hosted 300 Summit students in Tennessee. As usual, myths about emerging adults like they just want to be entertained, they’re not interested in thinking, you can’t challenge them too much are being exposed as untrue. I love it.

Another myth is that students don’t care about marriage anymore. And, if you look at the attitudes and behaviors of 20-somethings, this myth seems true but it’s not true of teens and early 20’s. They not only care about marriage, most want it and they want to know all about it, why it’s important and where it fits in God’s plan. Even skeptical students do.

Why? Because marriage is central to God’s design. It’s built into us; it’s one of those things we can’t not know. It’s only the bad practice of marriage they see and the bad ideas they hear that cause students to unlearn what they know. Come to thePointRadio.org and hear Summit’s Jeff Myers talk about what we can do about that.
