Yesterday I talked about the decline of three mainline churches’ due to embracing sexual sin. Two have already changed their rules, one is close behind. But it’s not all bad news.

In the Presbyterian Church USA, a group of concerned members have released what they call the “Pittsburgh Declaration,” a statement re-affirming the biblical doctrine of sex only within marriage between a man and a woman.

Alan Wisdom, part of the group behind the declaration, says “In adopting this Pittsburgh Declaration, we vow to resist the ongoing attempt to redefine Christian marriage…in our church and culture, so that men, women, and children may flourish.”

Sound familiar? Marriage was a cornerstone issue to which Chuck Colson devoted the last years of life. This declaration takes the same stand as the Manhattan Declaration.  Now is our time. Join Chuck and over half a million others by signing today at manhattandeclaration.org.

For the Point, I’m John Stonestreet.
