The killing of an eight-month pregnant woman in New York City a few weeks ago was called as a “double murder.” News reports referred to the deaths of Vindalee Smith and that of “her baby boy,” and her friends are grieving the loss of two lives, not one.

But in New York—the abortion capital of the country—four out of ten pregnancies end in the death of the child. What’s different about this child? His mother wanted him, says Susan Tyrrell at LifeSiteNews:

“When a woman decides she wants [a child], it is no longer a fetus but a baby. It’s the most obvious and blatant double-mindedness that exists in our society. It literally says ‘this thing in me becomes what I want it to be.’”

Across America, those who kill pregnant women are charged with multiple murders, but we allow, defend and even fund abortion. It’s arrogant and inconsistent that we imagine we can choose who is human and who is not. For ThePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
