Right thinking about who Jesus Christ is, and the world we live in is so very important. That’s what we mean when we use the term “Christian worldview.” It’s seeing all of life from through the lens of Jesus Christ’s authority over all things.  We talk about it all the time here at the Point.

But forming a Christian worldview requires more than just right thinking. It requires what Augustine called the “correct ordering of our loves.” We have to cultivate our hearts to love the right things. After all we don’t always do what we know to be right and true.

My guest this weekend on breakpoint this week is Dr. Jamie Smith, author of the book Desiring the Kingdom. Smith talked me through his ideas about shaping the Christian imagination to go along with the Christian mind. One thing he recommends: follow the church calendar. It reorders our understanding of time and place. If you missed Lent, observe Holy Week. It starts Sunday. For thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
