Last week on the Point we walked through several indicators that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, was an actual historical event. One of the men most responsible for putting together this historical case is Dr. Gary Habermas of Liberty University.

Gary’s journey isn’t just academic. It’s personal. As a teenager, he began to question whether any of his Christian faith could be pointed to historically. He specifically studied the resurrection because, as he says, it carried the most weight on whether Jesus  was who he claimed to be.

Gary’s journey led him to propose a study of the resurrection for his PhD dissertation in Philosophy at Michigan State University. As incredible as it sounds, his committee accepted his proposal and his defense of the resurrection earned a PhD from a secular university.

Gary told his story and walked me through the case for the resurrection this past weekend on BreakPoint this Week. Come to thePointRadio.org to listen. I’m John Stonestreet.
