Was Hitler a Christian?

In an interview with Randall Hardman at The Point, Eric Metaxas explores a question that has become popular among atheists.

Comments:

Hitler didn't act like a Christian. I don't mean in a "Well, duh" sort of way. I mean he didn't act like a tyrant motivated by his interpretation of Christianity. There have been enough of those to know what they are like and how they talk. Hitler acted like a nineteenth and early twentieth century nationalist; like a nastier and less competent version of Ataturk, or Pilsudski or for that matter like a nastier version of a certain Corsican Mobster with a Messianic Complex. His motivations were clear from his speech and they certainly did not have anything to do with piety.
Good Ol' Sam
You've got to smile at Harris and the other "brights"; they're nothing if not consistent. Instaed of using the massive amount of evidence that they claim to possess, they are always seeking some straw man to refute their opponents or else engage in some tired, threadbare demonization of Christians. I call it the Poopyhead tactic. It's like a third-grader on the playground who isn't allowed to play ball with older boys, so his only recourse is to clench his fists, stomp up and down and scream out "You poopyheads!" Yeah, buddy; that's intelligent response for you!
