Socrates in a different city

If you're in the D.C. area, good news: Eric Metaxas is hosting a Socrates in the City event here tomorrow (Thursday) night. Dr. Stephen Meyer will speak on "Why Are We Still Debating Darwin, and Why Does It Matter?" I probably won't be able to go myself, though I'd like to. But having been to one of their recent New York events, I can wholeheartedly recommend the experience.

follow-up
Curiosity get the best of me and I went on Amazon and read the first few pages of Eberstadt's book; it is both funny and provocative. Talk about playing the devil's advocate; she does it par excellence.

Actually Carol, I don't think "senior slips" are that bad. (Sigh) if only I could remember.......
Just a note to Philip and others who read my post last night, the book "The Loser Letters" was written by Mary EBERSTADT, not Ebersole. So sorry for the "senior slip". I finished it last night, and am still very enthusiastic!
Philip, for a serious-as-the-black-plague answer to your (probably tongue-in-cheek) question, may I recommend Mary Ebersole's book, "The Loser Letters". I don't usually react well to satire and farce, but this is a book I'd like to hand out liberally to family, friends and total strangers!
Semi-debating
Actually, a number of the neo-Darwinists are starting to "beg off" on continued debates with some of the ID proponents. Wonder why?
