Awards from the National Religious Broadcasters By: Catherine Larson|Published: February 12, 2010 6:57 PM I'm thrilled to share with you all that at the annual convention for the National Religious Broadcasters on February 28, two prestigious awards will be coming our way. First, our 1-minute radio program, The Point, featuring our President, Mark Earley, will receive the award for best program of the year in the short format category. We are so honored to receive this kind of recognition, especially considering The Point Radio only began in September 2007. We are overjoyed at this sign that God is using The Point Radio to encourage and challenge its listeners. Read the full press announcement here. And if you haven't had a chance to hear The Point, you can find it right here every day on the righthand side of the blog's homepage. If your local radio station is not playing The Point, consider contacting them and requesting it. We'd love for this great broadcast to reach even more people. The second award I'm pleased to tell you about will be going to our founder, Chuck Colson. Mr. Colson will be receiving the prestigious NRB Hall of Fame Award for his lifetime achievements. This, the NRB's most prestigious award, is presented to an individual NRB member for invaluable contribution to the field of Christian communications, exhibition of the highest standards and evidence of faithfulness in Christ. You can read the full press release here. I may be a little biased, but I can't imagine anyone more deserving. Praise God with us for the way He is using both The Point and BreakPoint to touch lives! |
