World Vision Workers Killed
Rating: 3.00

Pray for the families of several Pakistani employees of World Vision who were killed in an attack on their office Wednesday. And pray for other aid organizations to step into the gap while World Vision pulls out of the area for a time.

To the break(ing) point
Kristine, do I have it right - you're telling me that World Vision, already stretched trying to care for Haiti where they've been the major support for a long time, then suddenly trying to also care for Chile, is now hit with the deaths of co-workers? I know the awful feeling of getting the email that someone I had worked alongside and knew and liked has passed away, even suddenly, but I can't say I know how it feels to have a co-worker murdered - premeditatedly.

This series of circumstances reads a lot like Job 1: "And while he was still speaking, [...]".

I think I'll also pray for all the Pakistanis who now won't be receiving any aid for a while. (When Christians have stopped helping in an area, Muslims have *never* stepped in to fill the gap. Did I tell y'all that I once saw a brand-new Airbus jetliner that was going to be built out as a Saudi prince's personal transportation? Such an aircraft seats over 500 people. So making one into your own private jet means you have sufficient disposable income to do a lot in poor villages.)

And I'll bet Roberto is simply frothing, T-Mat style, over the NYT leading off with the word "Suspected".
