Let 'em run

This week's Doonesbury will be about a Texas woman forced to get an ultrasound before an abortion. Blogger Jim Romenesko has a rundown of each day's strip. He also reports that some papers are pulling the strip this week.

Personally, having read the descriptions, I think it might not be such a bad idea just to run it. Let people see for themselves how a passionate (one might even say virulent) commitment to the cause of abortion can warp a person's judgment, destroy his sense of humor, and make him into a shrill, over-the-top, propagandistic scold.

Comments:

The Brown shirts didn't confiscate it. The Alliance won, and Malcom Reynolds is out wandering around in space, grumbling about it to everyone.
Trudeau or not Trudeau...
All very correct, Gina, except Doonesbury has been scolding since at least the time of the documentary "Silent Scream".

And partisan attacks make me think "you're not paranoid when they really ARE out to get you." Now, where'd I leave my copy of "Liberal Fascism" - maybe the Brown Shirts confiscated it. (With guys like Trudeau constantly demonizing, it's only a matter of time, I figure, before condemnation gives way to constant "direct action" against all conservatives, great and small. But we'll get the last laugh. Sorta.)
