promise-200x300

A friend of mine, Cathy Gohlke, has just published a new novel, Promise Me This, that is set in part on the Titanic. I just finished it last week and enjoyed it. In honor of this weekend's centennial, Tyndale is making the e-book version available for free for two weeks. Click here to get it!

The movie Night to Remember which was the inspiration for the Cameron movie might be worth while.

The title was gotten from the Walter Lord history.
I was thinking over the weekend that I would like to see _Titanic_ again for its historical aspects, but the fictional plot-line persuaded me not to bother. I found the nasty fiance and his loathsome henchman ridiculous beyond belief. And I certainly wouldn't watch it with my kids! So, ixnay on watching _Titanic_ again any time soon.

Are there other Titanic movies worth watching?
Of course not. Our Gina would never. I just wanted to jabber about the flaws in a movie I didn't like.
As if I'd recommend anything of the sort, Jason. :-)
I hope it's not like Cameroon's version? With the annoying hero and heroine and that irritating theme song about the glories of emotional adultery with a dead man?

Interestingly Night to Remember was available for about two dollars for an evening or so. I managed to get it before the price went up.
Gina,

Thanks for the heads up! I noticed this book while I was poking around on the web for books about the Titanic. It's garnered great reviews.
