I had the opportunity to participate in NRO's Summer Reading Symposium this week (my recommendations are on p. 2). Also, in case some of you haven't yet seen it, we have a new BreakPoint list of Great Summer Reading Suggestions, and a new Youth Reads Summer 2012 Recommended Reading List. And I've just posted a link to Sherry Early's list of 55 Free Kindle Books Worth Reading.

I just got Asimov's Foundation but haven't got around to reading it.

I just started the Sevenwaters Series. It is a historical fantasy about a clan in Medieval Ireland caught up in a feud. The first volume, Daughters of the Forest is about a princess healer who saves her brothers from a curse. The series has beautiful writing and stresses such things as love and family loyalty and charity for one's enemies.
