A week ago Wednesday, the Supreme Court of British Columbia ordered testosterone injections for a 14-year-old girl who considers herself a transgender boy, against her parents’ wishes. Even more, her parents face legal penalties if they even call her by her birth name.

Just as same-sex marriage proved to be a grave threat to religious freedom, transgender ideology is proving to be a grave threat to parental rights.

Writing for The Public Discourse, five mothers recently shared their stories. When their daughters and sons decided they were transgender—usually after intense indoctrination at school, with friends, or on the Internet – their wishes as parents were summarily dismissed.

Neither doctors nor the law offered any help to these parents. In fact, they were told they had no right to challenge their kids’ hasty decision to alter their lives and bodies.

Future generations will wonder how we let our kids be experimented on. Until then, parents need to keep their kids far away from the pseudo-experts peddling this pseudo-scientific madness.
