Nigerian Pastor Lawan Andimi was kidnapped from his village on January 2 by Islamic terrorists with Boko Haram. Forced by his captors to ask Nigerian authorities to negotiate for his release, Pastor Andimi’s chose to use his video to testify of his faith in Christ, even, perhaps, unto death.

“By the grace of God, I will be together with my wife, my children, and my colleagues,” Pastor Andimi said. “[But] if the opportunity has not been granted, maybe it is the will of God. I have never been discouraged, because all conditions that one finds himself in is in the hands of God.”

This kind of faith is the same as that of martyrs since the first century; it’s the same kind faith displayed by Franz Jägerstsätter, the subject of the new film “A Hidden Life,” which I talked about on BreakPoint.

The word “martyr” means witness. The question is, are we witnesses for the faith, even unto death? Please pray for Pastor Andimi.
