BreakPoint: Visit the Colson Center

I was thrilled recently to announce the launch of our new website—the Colson Center for Christian Worldview—as I'm thrilled today with the response we’re getting. As I have taught for years, Christianity is an all-encompassing worldview. It causes us to see the world in a way that shapes the way we live in the world. It shapes the way we evangelize and the way we disciple others. And it shapes the way we fulfill the cultural commission—carrying on the work of God as we cultivate and employ all the resources God has place at our disposal for the sake of His creation. This is why we have launched our exciting new website: ColsonCenter.org. I am absolutely thrilled that many thousands of BreakPoint listeners have visited ColsonCenter.org over the past few weeks. For those of you who haven’t visited the site yet, I want to tell you exactly what you will find there—and what you will find in the future as the website grows. The heart of the Colson Center is the biblical worldview library. It is a vast, growing, interactive database that, as of today, contains more than 4,000 articles, sermons, and works by me and by many leading Christian writers ancient and modern. When you visit the library, you will be able to use a powerful search engine that will help you find works that will be of particular interest to you—whether you are interested in apologetics, in life issues, in media and culture, or any number of important worldview topics. One area of the website that has me really excited is leadership training—what we call the “Worldview Gym.” You’ll be able to register to receive personalized worldview training, complete with a personal trainer who can help you process and apply the things you will be learning through directed spiritual exercises. You’ll also be able to join in live teleconferences on Scripture, contemporary issues, and engaging the culture. To keep you coming back for more every day, we will have daily features by great Christian writers and daily Scripture passages with commentary from a worldview perspective. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you sign up to receive the daily “ViewPoint” biblical commentaries by theologian T. M. Moore. I guarantee that T. M.—a man I have worked with for 25 years, and one of the brightest men I’ve ever known who has profoundly affected my spiritual walk—will help you see and apply the Scriptures in ways you’ve never imagined.
I really see the Colson Center not just as a resource center for Christian worldview, but also as a portal to the larger renewal effort going on in the Church today. That’s why we provide and feature links to other Christian organizations that are doing so much to advance the Gospel and renew the faith and vitality of the Church. Those are just some of the resources that you’ll find at the Colson Center. But we’re not done yet. In the coming months, we will have forums you can participate in, online classes, and a robust biblical worldview bookstore. I hope that you can sense just a little of the excitement that I have about this new endeavor—an effort I plan to devote my remaining years of ministry to. So please, join us at ColsonCenter.org. Visit the site today. And tell your friends and family about it. It is my earnest prayer that God would use this new center for the transformation of the culture, for the renewal of His Church—and most of all, for the glory of His name.
